Fiddle, Fun, Lonesome Songs
Dark and brooding, but at the same time a boatload of fun, Aurora has it all. Come for the tunes, stay for the songs. Expect hats, costumes, and fiddles.
Marinated in the deep traditions of Alaskan bluegrass and old-time music, as well as 10 years of classical training and a hint of jazz thrown in for good measure, Aurora pays her respects to those rich traditions, while also playing and writing songs from her own pulsating ventricles. You can find her hell-raising with the Norris Bowers Band, warming hearts and warping minds with the Brain Trust, honky-tonking with the Hannah Yoter Band or brooding and crooning with The Sophronies. These days, Aurora splits her time between Mississippi and Alaska. She teaches beginning through advanced fiddle lessons to ages 0-110 in person and over zoom.
